Our client, a well-established organization in the aerospace sector, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Human Resource Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to serve as a shared HR leader across two dynamic aerospace companies, both operating in Prince Edward Island.

Position Summary

The Human Resource Manager will oversee all HR functions, ensuring that employees are supported and that company policies and procedures align with federal and provincial employment regulations. This role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively across two locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring full-time employees.
  • Prepare and maintain all new hire documentation.
  • Lead orientation and onboarding programs to integrate new employees effectively.
  • Educate staff on company vision, mission, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance on employee dismissals when necessary, ensuring compliance and fairness.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable Federal and Provincial employment laws and regulations.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employee support and conflict resolution.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
  • Support senior management with HR-related initiatives and strategic guidance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of both Federal and Provincial labor laws.
  • Experience applying for Federal and Provincial funding programs.
  • Familiarity with recruitment platforms and strategies for sourcing skilled tradespeople.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet staffing targets.
  • Solid understanding of employment regulations related to hiring and termination.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong multitasking and computer proficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resource Management.
  • CPHR designation is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in the aerospace, manufacturing, or similarly regulated industry is an asset.
