A leading heavy equipment dealership in Atlantic Canada is seeking a Road (Field) Heavy Equipment Technician to support customers in the Halifax region. This is a fully mobile role with a company-provided service truck, reporting to the Regional Service Manager based in New Brunswick.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites within Nova Scotia to diagnose, service, and repair heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs in the field
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Ensure a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times
Requirements:
- Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician (preferred) or strong equivalent experience
- Proven diagnostic and repair skills across diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license (clean abstract required); passport considered an asset
