A well-established and reputable heavy equipment dealership in Atlantic Canada is seeking a Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team. This opportunity includes both in-shop and field service work, supporting a wide range of construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and cooling systems
  • Service and repair a diverse fleet of construction equipment
  • Conduct equipment testing to ensure proper performance post-repair
  • Complete detailed service documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers regarding job status
  • Perform field service work in a professional and timely manner
  • Utilize technical manuals and systems to identify and order parts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Participate in ongoing training and development
  • Work overtime as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician (required)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on repair experience
  • Experience in a dealership environment considered an asset
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
  • Valid driver’s license and passport required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
