Shipper/Receiver

Purpose:

Performs stocking duties related to the shipping, receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the dealership. Additionally, may participate in selling, back counter parts provision, in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Places machine down and stock ordered parts in assigned locations in a timely manner
  • Preforms necessary duties to facilitate shipping of parts and accessories
  • Verifies receiving and receipting-in of parts shipments
  • Monitors shortages and expedites processing through reporting to Parts Manager
  • Assists with merchandising displays
  • Provides support to parts department staff, as assigned
  • Performs organizational duties in the parts warehouse
  • Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
  • Transports parts, small equipment, supplies, and paperwork between dealer facilities as assigned; may also deliver to customers
  • Maintains records of pickup and deliveries and obtains signatures and receipts, as necessary
  • Assists in customer service duties, as assigned
  • Provide support in-person or via telephone
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks
  • Supplies service technicians with parts, as assigned or required
  • Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Ensures all safety regulations and requirements are followed by self and others
  • Works to build and maintain constructive co-worker relations, and effective and productive team dynamics

Critical Capabilities:

  • Data entry/keyboarding skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used in the department
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. repeatedly; ability to lift between 40-75lbs as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours, varying shifts, weekends and holidays, if necessary
  • Valid driver’s license required

Desired Experience and Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift license preferred
  • Shipping and receiving or materials handling experience is considered an asset
  • Agricultural parts and machinery knowledge is an asset
  • Farming background/experience is an asset
