About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a wide range of facility systems and equipment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining production uptime, supporting preventative maintenance programs, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate work with external contractors and ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
  • Complete and close out work orders in the company’s maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports for all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and respond quickly to maintenance priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance or facility technician role, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Experience with hand and power tools; HVAC knowledge (filters, belts, etc.) is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with a strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
  • WHMIS or related safety training is considered an asset.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform physical work for extended periods.
  • Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Work may involve exposure to variable temperatures, humidity, lighting, and cleaning agents.
  • Ability to respond quickly under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
