Job Description:

  • Ensure maintenance services are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered on time, while meeting cost and quality standards.
  • Maintain and improve an effective preventative maintenance program for the operations to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop, implement and maintain maintenance standards and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and performance of mill equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair budgets are prepared, met, and variances explained, with appropriate action taken as needed.
  • Ensure mechanical areas are manned with a capable workforce by applying succession planning systems, effective coaching processes, accountable leadership practices, and effective training.
  • Take a leading role in developing strategies for technology migration to avoid obsolescence within the context of continuous plant operations.
  • Safety; improvements and management in all areas
  • Manage leads in maintenance.
  • Coach, Teach, and Train team members
  • Scheduling for projects or special projects requiring production interruption
  • Creating, tracking, and achieving maintenance metric goals
  • Responsible for implementation of CMMS system and improvements
  • Hiring and firing of personnel in the department
  • Due diligence reports
  • Coaching and training team on Lean problem solving
  • Rapid Improvement Event sustainment in the department
